Worcester Wolves have taken another big step in their preparations and have given a signal of intent ahead of the inaugural British Wheelchair Basketball Women's Premier League season with their latest signing.
Paralympics GB player, Kayla Bell joins the Worcester Wolves franchise and becomes the Club's seventh signing ahead of the new campaign. She is also a University of Worcester graduate.
Kayla, who is a Classification 1.5 athlete, joins the Wolves from National League side, Coventry Wheelchair Basketball Academy (CWBA). She represented Paralympics GB at Tokyo 2020 and was a World Championship Silver medallist in 2018 and a European Championship Silver medallist in 2019 at senior level for Great Britain.
Kayla also represented Paralympics GB at Under 24/25 level and won two European Championship Gold medals (2016 and 2018), and at Under 25 level, where she was a World Championship Bronze medallist in 2019.
The University of Worcester graduate is thrilled to be returning to the City to get on court for the Wolves. Kayla said: "I'm super excited to be part of this growing Worcester Wolves team and to see this new premier league get underway. I can't wait to get to play with the team at the Arena in our first game come the New Year."

Kayla has experienced playing the game at the very highest levels and will bring so much as both an individual and team player."
The League will be the first of its kind for women's wheelchair basketball in the world, and the very first professional para-sport league in the UK.
The University of Worcester will be one of four High-Performance Partnerships, which also include Cardiff Metropolitan University, Loughborough University and the University of East London, that will each be home to a women's premier league team.
