Man arrested in connection with rape in Worcester

Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of a rape in Worcester.

The incident took place in the male toilets at Crowngate Bus Station in Worcester at about 4.15pm on Monday (8 November).

A 37-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident has now been released while investigations continue.

Det Insp Ed Slough, said: “We understand that incidents of this nature cause concern in the local community and would like to reassure people that they are extremely rare. 

"Our local policing teams are conducting additional reassurance patrols in the area whilst investigations continue.”

Police are interested to hear from anyone who used the male toilets from between 4pm – 4.30pm and may have seen an altercation or anything unusual.
