A Malvern man has been given a two year Criminal Behaviour Order.

Shane Standen, who is 35 years old and from Malvern, has been given a two year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

The CBO was issued on Monday 6 June at Worcester Magistrates Court and prohibits Standen from entering a number of retailers in Malvern, including Tesco, B&Q, Sainsbury’s and One Stop.

It was granted on application by West Mercia Police due to Standen causing a significant amount distress and harassment to local businesses and members of the public over a number of years.

Sergeant Simon Hallam from the South Worcestershire Problem Solving Hub said: “I hope the CBO provides reassurance to local retailers and residents that the police will take positive action to make our communities safer."

Members of the public are encouraged to report any breaches of the orders to West Mercia Police on 101.
