Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) has launched a period of public consultation on a Resource Review.

The Resource Review examines Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s operational response resources and considers how these can be improved to ensure it is providing the most effective service possible across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Recently, the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) condemned the proposals.

Last month, the fire authority discussed a proposal to remove 8 fire engines across the region, downgrade fire cover in Wyre Forest, and axe 45 on call firefighters.

The consultation closes on 4 March 2024.
