Widemarsh Street in Hereford will be subject to two-way traffic lights from Wednesday 24 May until Friday 26 May and then from Tuesday 30 May until Friday 2 June for resurfacing works.

The traffic lights will remain in place for the duration of the works, with the exception of the Bank Holiday weekend.

The traffic lights will be in place at the north end of Widemarsh Street between the frontages of Gibbs and Dandy and Kent Plastics to allow the area where the junction of the new City Link Road ties in with Widemarsh Street.

Andrew Davies, Project Manager Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd said: “The construction of the road continues to progress on time and we are on track to open the road later on this year.

We endeavour to minimise disruption wherever we can and as always, we thank the public for their patience during the road’s construction”

The City Link Road will enable the construction of new homes, university dwellings, a new Police, Fire and Public Services building and a new transport hub outside Hereford Railway Station.
