Two years on from Christian Bagley's murder, detectives have reaffirmed their commitment to finding his killer and have re-released a CCTV image of a potential witness they still want to identify.

Christian died on Father's Day, June 21, 2015, after he was stabbed in the arm and back as he walked under Hunderton Bridge on his way home from visiting his daughter. He collapsed in Rogers Avenue at approximately 10.50pm and was pronounced dead a short time later.

The man in the image, which was released in December, was seen entering Costcutter on Belmont Road at just after 11:30pm on the night before Christian's murder - Saturday June 20, 2015.

He has been described as white and spoke with an Eastern European accent. He was wearing an Adidas cap, dark jacket with light coloured motif, light tracksuit trousers and trainers with blue laces.

Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding, who is leading the investigation into Christian's death, said: "We have released the image of this man previously but sadly it did not on that occasion lead to him being identified. We are hoping that today, two years on from Christian's murder, the picture will be shared further and encourage anyone who recognises the man to come forward."

The image of the man is being circulated in Hereford on posters and leaflets, which have also been translated into Polish and Lithuanian.

"The man has been described as speaking with an Eastern European accent; so we are appealing directly to Eastern European communities in particular, in Herefordshire and beyond, to see if they can help us locate him," added DCI Harding.

"I would like to make it clear that I am not treating this man as a suspect. I believe that he may have been in the vicinity of 'The Lines' the night before Christian was attacked and could have information to help me build up a fuller picture of who was out and about in the vicinity on that night and the night of Christian's murder.

"We have not stopped in our dedication to getting justice for Christian and over the two years our efforts have not waned. Christian's family deserves to know what happened to him. I would ask anyone who has information to please come forward and remember that there is a little girl who has had to face another Father's Day without her dad."

If this is you, or you recognise the man, please call police on 101.

If you want to give information but don't want to give your name you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or use their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
