Prince Charles kicked off a three day tour of Wales today with a visit to the Second Severn Crossing which is being renamed in his honour to mark his 70th birthday.

Charles, accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall, stopped by the toll plaza at the crossing, which carries the M4 motorway linking England to Wales.

It is now called the Prince of Wales Bridge, despite criticisms following the name change announcement earlier this year.

Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns MP has defended to rename the bridge despite opposition.
