Police appeal for witnesses following suspected abduction attempt in Hereford

Police in Hereford are appealing for witnesses following a suspected abduction attempt.

Officers want to speak to anyone who may of have been in the area of Old Eign Hill and Hampton Dene Road last Friday between 7:30am and 8:00am.

It is reported that a female, in her late teens, was approached by a male who made attempts to lead her to a vehicle.

Detective Inspector Mark Peters of Hereford CID said: "Officers have spoken with the family and are making various enquiries concerning this incident.

If anyone was in the area at the time of the incident  or saw anyone acting suspicious in the Old Eign Hill and Hampton Dene Road area of Hereford please contact the police. We are particularly keen to get any dash cam footage from the area."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101.
