People in Ross-on-Wye will be able to talk with their town mayor on a weekly basis.

Councillor Daniel Lister will host a virtual meeting via Zoom starting on May 27.

The ‘knowing me, knowing you – a chat with the mayor’ will begin at 1pm and will  provide an opportunity for anyone wishing to take part for a chat or to ask questions or raise any concerns.

Coun Lister is hoping to run this every week.

“There will be the opportunity for local people to contact the office and book a slot which will last for 10 minutes,” a council spokesperson said.

“Participants will be asked to leave their contact details and then be sent an on-line link giving information about how to access the meeting.

“If there is a high demand then Dan will look at expanding the time to enable all those who are interested to participate.

“Dan will not be aiming to try and respond to everyone’s questions there and then and might need to get back later with further information.

“Anyone wishing to get involved will be asked to contact the office on 01989 562373 or by email on admin@rosstc-herefordshire.gov.uk and let us have email contact details as well as phone numbers.”

“There will be a virtual waiting room and the mayor will allow people access from this area when it is their allotted time.

“It will be on a 1-2-1 basis rather than a group chat.”
