Hereford's Prosecco in the Park CANCELLED

Hereford's Prosecco in the Park which was due to take place this month has been cancelled.

The event was due to be taking place at Bishops Meadow from the 16th to 18th August.

Matt Bates, managing director of the firm running the event, ASL, has said: "It's never a good thing to have to cancel an event, but we have to be honest and realistic with the projected low attendance and our unpredictable British summer hasn't been as we expected."

"We have tried our hardest to launch this great new event in Hereford but with such low ticket sales leading up to the event, it's clear to see that people are waiting to see what the weather does on the day of the event and naturally this places us in a very vulnerable position; one that isn't healthy for staging a successful event."

Organisers have said anyone who has already purchased tickets to Prosecco in the Park in Hereford will be refunded from today.

For those that booked through Sunshine Radio, refunds will be within 3 to 5 working days from Monday 5th August.
