Hereford police appeal for information following assault of 14-year-old girl

The incident happened on Sunday at approximately 2:45pm on a tarmac footpath between the Hereford Leisure Pool car park, near to the Bishops Meadow, and the Victoria Footbridge.

It was reported that a group of four men were walking along the footpath, from the direction of the Victoria Footbridge, towards the girl and her friend when one of the men grabbed the victim and pulled her towards him and also held his hand over her mouth. The man let go after being confronted by another of the victim's friends.

The offender is described as being a white man in his 40s, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, with a thin build and a shaven head. He is believed to have an Eastern European accent and may have been wearing jeans at the time of the incident.

The other three men that the suspect was reported to be with are described as white men, also in their 40s, with hair and possible Eastern European accents.
