Plans to build a dormer bungalow on the edge of Monmouthshire have been given the go-ahead.

The proposals for the new detached three bedroom home next to 14 Loop Road in Beachley near Chepstow include the use of a static caravan for the construction period.

Developers have designed the house to have a kitchen, sitting room, wet room, utility and plan room on the ground floor.

There would also be an attached garage, accessed from the house and on the first floor there would be three bedrooms, an ensuite bathroom and a family bathroom.

Forest of Dean district councillors debated the scheme today (February 8) as it was outside the settlement boundary.

Cllr James Bevan (Ind, Lydney East) proposed approving the plans in line with the recommendation of officers.

He said anyone would be envious of living in such a bungalow.

Cllr Brian Lewis (Con, Hartpury & Redmarley) seconded the proposal and the committee voted unanimously to approve the application.
