Five flood alerts remain in place locally today.

Residents are being warned there could be flooding in the next few days.

The alerts cover the Upper Teme, near Ludlow, in Shropshire, the rivers Wye and Lugg near Hereford and the River Severn near Kempsey, Worcestershire.

Dave Throup from the Environment Agency has warned the risk of flooding has increased.

Posting on Twitter he said: "Saturated ground, full rivers and plenty of rain over next few days means flood risk is increasing. Minor impacts, particularly possible, particularly on Wye, Teme and lower Severn."
