Mill Street and Bell Lane in Ludlow are closed to traffic, while Western Power Distribution (WPD) repair a cable fault on Bell Lane.

Traffic, including buses. cannot exit the town centre via the one-way system of High Street, Castle Square, Mill Street and Bell Lane.

However, all traffic that has travelled along King Street towards the town centre can turn left down Broad Street and exit via Brand Lane.

WPD currently have the following diversions in place (https://one.network/?tm=125474533), and staff on site assisting the vehicles stuck in the closed section of road to get out.

A traffic management operative will be placed on site to stop buses/large vehicles accessing the bus stop by the Assembly Rooms. This bus stop has been moved to a temporary stop at the top of Broad Street.

Work is expected to last up to five working days, but it’s hoped that it will be completed sooner

WPD apologise for this inconvenience, and have provided assurance that they are working hard to resolve the situation.
