A plan to convert a former Hereford nursery to a four-bedroom home, and build another on its car park, has been given the go-ahead.
Under the proposal submitted by a Mrs Ovel, Trinity House in Barricombe Drive near Trinity Primary School, Moor Farm, will become a single house and its external fire escape removed.
A three-bedroom “dormer bungalow”, of essentially the same design as one previously approved, can now also be built on the car park in front.
There were no objections to the scheme from either residents or official consultees.
“There is no good reason to resist the change of use of the Trinity House, which would serve to bring a vacant building back into use, and the newbuild bungalow would also contribute to maintaining the council’s housing land supply,” planning officer Simon Rowles concluded.
Among the conditions of the approval are that covered secure cycle storage and electric car charging points must be included, water efficiency measures demonstrated, and at least three bird boxes “of mixed types” be put up and maintained.
