County planners have given the go-ahead to build two detached homes in field near Ross-on-Wye despite local objections.

Garway parish council had objected to the plans to develop land west of St Mary’s Church in Broad Oak over conservation fears.

The plans for the three bed and four bed homes included a new shared access and received the support of six residents and three objections.

Herefordshire Council’s planning committee approved the scheme with six votes in favour, three against and two abstentions.
