Police are appealing for witnesses or information following an assault in Hereford.
At around 4.30pm on Tuesday 30 January, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were sat in their car in a car park off Waterfield Road in Newton Farm, when another car parked alongside them.
A woman within the other car then began to verbally abuse the victims and a man from the same vehicle opened their car door, spoke with the male victim and then punched him in the face several times. The victim sustained a fracture to his left eye socket which required hospital treatment.
The suspects are described as a white man in his twenties, around 5'10" in height and of a slim build, who spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a blue Ralph Lauren baseball cap, a khaki jumper and grey jogging bottoms.
The woman was described as white, in her twenties, around 5'9" in height of a slim to average build. She spoke with a local accent and had blonde dyed hair, and was wearing a grey jumper and blue jeans. She is believed to have had a baby with her.
They were thought to be driving a black or dark blue Peugeot hatchback, possibly a 206 or 306.
PC Ben Daffurn from West Mercia Police said: "This is believed to be an unprovoked assault which left the male victim with a serious injury to his eye. Investigations are now ongoing to identify and locate those responsible and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of those involved to please make contact.
