Appeal following robbery in Hereford

Police in Hereford are appealing for information following a robbery on Grandstand Road last Wednesday.

The incident happened between 6:40pm and 7:05pm in an alleyway close to Widemarsh Common off Grandstand Road, where two men approached a woman and pushed her to the floor, before searching her bag.

Upon police arrival, the woman noticed that her purse had been taken.

The two men are described as:
1. A man, just under 6 ft tall, reported as being Asian or mixed race, with hair tied up in a top knot. He had a beard, approximately three inches in length, which was styled into a point. He is aged approximately mid 20s to mid 30s, and was wearing a dark, casual top with light denim jeans, tucked into bright-coloured trainers.

2. A man described as being younger and shorter than the first, with a darker complexion and short, dark hair.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have been in the area at the time and saw these two men. Should you have any information, please call 101 quoting incident 683S of 12 July.
