Police searching for missing 40-year-old Michael have issued a renewed appeal and CCTV image to help locate him.

Officers are increasingly concerned for Michael's welfare after he left an address in the Pillowell area of Lydney on Wednesday evening (28 September) and hasn't returned since.

It was originally believed Michael had travelled out of county but it is now thought that he is still in the Forest of Dean with searches continuing in woodland areas.

CCTV enquiries show that Michael had gone to Tesco in Lydney on Friday evening in an outfit which consisted of black jogging bottoms, black trainers and a black jacket with grey sleeves.

Dog walkers and those in the areas of Lydney and Yorkley are being asked to please report any possible sightings or information on his whereabouts.

He is described as being white, 5ft 10ins tall, of a medium build, wears glasses and has brown hair with a full beard.

Police have been supported by colleagues from the Severn Area Rescue Association during searches for Michael.

Information can be submitted by calling police on 101 and quoting incident 17 of 29 September. Please dial 999 if Michael is present at the time.
