Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected road rage incident which took place near Stoke Orchard earlier this week.

Officers were called on Tuesday (11 May) with a report that a woman who was driving a blue Ford Fiesta on Stoke Road had been the victim of a road rage assault.

She reported that she was driving in the area at 9am that morning when she was waiting at traffic lights by the Odessa Inn.

A man driving a beige/grey coloured car approached the victim and repeatedly punched her in the face before grabbing her by the throat.

The man was described as being white and in his early 30s, he also had a female passenger in the car.

Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses that can provide more details of the vehicle or man involved.
