Appeal after woman and her children were verbally abused by unknown man

Police in the Forest of Dean are appealing for witnesses after a woman and her children were verbally abused by an unknown man in Cinderford at the end of last month.

Officers were contacted on Thursday 31 March with a report of an incident that had taken place at around 4.20pm the day before (Wednesday 30 March).

The victim stated that she was outside Co-Op on Dockham Road with her two children when they were approached by an unknown man on a bicycle.

It was reported that he began to shout, swear and become aggressive after a child's toy was dropped on the floor which resulted in the victim and her children being very distressed by the man's language and aggressive demeanour.

The man was described as being white, around 5ft 5ins tall and was balding.

Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and anyone who saw the incident taking place is asked to please get in contact.
