Plans for a single span pedestrian bridge over the River Wye has been submitted to Monmouthshire County Council.
The new crossing would run parallel to the Grade-II listed Wye Bridge according to the plans.
It would link with Old Dixton Road to Monmouth Leisure Centre.
The idea was hatched back in 2018 when a working group was set up by Monmouth Town Council to assess the need of ‘a Bridge For People Over The River Wye’.
