Fire crews tackled a fire in the open earlier.
Firefighters from Ludlow and Cleobury Mortimer were sent to Catherton Common in Hopton Wafers at 2:30am.
They found a large amount of common on fire approx 100m x 50m.
One hose reel jet, covering jet and beaters were used to extinguish fire.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews worked extremely hard throughout the morning to prevent further fire spread and damage to wildlife."
