Leominster Police Open Day celebrating 50 years of West Mercia Police

50 years of West Mercia Police will be celebrated at a special open day in Leominster this month.

The open day is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the joining of Worcestershire Constabulary, Herefordshire Constabulary, Shropshire Constabulary and Worcester City Police, which together provide a stronger force, better known now as West Mercia Police.

Leominster Police Station will be open to the public for one day only, where you will be able to have a tour of custody, as well as visit stands and displays hosted by our officers, the Fire Service, Safer Roads Partnership Team, Longtown Mountain Rescue, Water Rescue UK, VOSA, Smartwater, 4x4 response, Marches Housing Association and a vintage car display. 

Come along to find out more about our vintage, police vehicles and police motorcycles and specialist equipment. There will be many activities in which families and children can take part including run against a speed gun, fingerprinting, wanted poster creation, stop that thief, water safety, kit throwing competition and much more!!

The open day is taking place on Sunday 10th September from 11am - 4pm.

Location: Leominster Police Station, Enterprise Way, Enterprise Park, Leominster HR6 0LZ

Directions: From A49 Leominster bypass take the turning into Southern Avenue from roundabout, continue into Enterprise Way.  From A44 Worcester Road (from Bromyard) go straight ahead at roundabout, to Southern Avenue and into Enterprise Way.
