The grand unveiling of the newly refurbished restaurant and bar at the Feathers Hotel is moving one step closer with local people being offering a sneak preview ahead of the official opening on the 18th October.

The management team is hosting a community open evening on the 26th September, so residents can visit the hotel to see for themselves what has been taking place behind closed doors, in what is part of a full refurbishment of the iconic building, that is now in excess of a £1.5million investment.

The open evening will run from 5 – 7pm and senior management will be on hand to unveil more details about the restaurant, new cocktail bar and brand-new menu which Group Executive Chef, Wayne Nell is confident will be awarded two Rosettes within six months of opening.

Group Sales Manager, Sarah Tunnadine said: “The unwavering support of the Ludlow and wider community of Shropshire has been resolute since we became the proud owners of the hotel and we feel that the open evenings are a way of giving everyone an exclusive peek into what they can expect from the opening.

“The new restaurant and cocktail bar complete the second phase of the refurbishment, following the first phase, the opening of the tea room to the front of the hotel, which now stands proud on the high street.  We are also confident of achieving our goal of a full hotel re-opening later this year.”

Complimentary refreshments and canapes will be served and guests will get the opportunity to see first-hand what the second phase of the refurbishment will look like, as well as meeting senior members of the management team for details of the final phase.

Sarah added: “We can’t wait to welcome everyone for our second open evening and to ensure the team cater accordingly please can anyone wishing to attend email your RSVP to me at sales@feathersatludlow.co.uk.”

Crest Hotels completed the purchase of The Feathers in December, 2018. The firm is now investing more than £1.5million to re-position the 40-bedroom property, which includes an aesthetic makeover to public areas, rooms and the function suite, as well as completely new plumbing throughout.
