Following the reported cyber-attacks affecting NHS Trusts across the country last week, Wye Valley NHS Trust has reassured all patients and their relatives that it’s business as usual.

The Trust has taken precautions, in line with guidance from NHS England and NHS Digital, to protect its IT systems and ensure services were uninterrupted throughout the weekend and into this week.

“Staff on duty during the weekend worked extremely hard to ensure a consistent service for all patients” said Jon Barnes, Wye Valley Trust’s Chief Operating Officer.

All patients should attend scheduled appointments this week as normal. Patients may experience minor delays at clinics during the early part of the week as paper based records may be used by some departments whilst systems are being fully restored.

The Trust appreciates the patience and understanding of patients and their relatives during this time.
