Proclamation ceremonies took place in Herefordshire and Shropshire publicly confirming King Charles as the new monarch.
The traditional ceremonies took place including in Hereford, Leominster, Ludlow and Shrewsbury.
A large crowd gathered in Leominster's Corn Square to hear the proclamation read by the town's mayor.

A planning application by Avara Foods, one of the county’s largest employers, says the replacement sheds at Parkway Farm, Madley west of Hereford would have the same footprint as the current eight within the two-hectare site, and “will not result in any increase in floor area, bird numbers, or operational intensity”.
