Two inmates at Long Lartin Prison in Worcestershire have been sentenced at Worcester Crown Court after pleading guilty to the murder of another inmate.
Brett Rogers was found dead in his cell at around 6pm of 7 June 2017. A post mortem found he died from compression to the neck.
Billy White, aged 24, was given a whole life term and Gary Lindley, aged 41, was sentenced to life to serve a minimum of 17 years 6 months.
Detective Inspector Paul Hardman said: "This was a vicious and premeditated attack by two very dangerous men. The judge has recognised the danger they pose to the wider public and we welcome the length of their sentence."
