Person dies in Newent caravan fire

Police are investigating an incident which happened in the Horsefair Lane area in Newent, Forest of Dean last night.

Police were called shortly after 10pm with a report of a fire and emergency services attended. A caravan was found alight and one person was confirmed deceased.

Formal identification is yet to take place and the death is being treated as unexplained.
