A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Baysham Street in Hereford.
The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Saturday.
He remains in police custody.
DS James Moore, said, “I understand that incidents such at this can be alarming but I would like to reassure residents that this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community.
“A cordon will remain in place while our investigations continue. If you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to speak to an officer.”
