A Herefordshire groundsman is up for an international award after his decorative pitch design went viral.
Joe Mecke-Davis created the eye-catching pattern at Westfields Football Club’s Allpay Park in Hereford, sharing drone images that won thousands of fans online.
His work is now shortlisted in the Allett Creative Lawn Stripes Competition, alongside entries from the US and Canada.
Joe says he “absolutely loved” creating the design, which takes hours of careful mowing to perfect.
