One person has died in a crash on the A40 in Monmouthshire.
Emergency services were called to Brecon Road at just before 2am this morning.
The single-vehicle collision involved a black Land Rover Discovery.
Police say the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The road was closed for around seven hours for investigation work to be carried.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Gwent Police on 101.
