Around 40 people gathered on Worcester Bridge today to participate in an Extinction Rebellion protest against climate change.
The protest has peacefully drawn to a conclusion and the traffic is now flowing in and around the city centre.
Superintendent Damian Pettit from West Mercia Police said: "We have been engaging with the people involved in the protest this morning to help ensure the event was safe for both those taking part and the public.
"We recognise that there was some disruption to the roads this morning which resulted in increased traffic and delays to peoples’ journeys, and would like to thank the people of Worcester for their patience and cooperation today.”
