The free vaccination shuttle buses arranged by the council in partnership with Arriva and Minsterley Motors to vaccination centres in Shrewsbury and Ludlow have helped get residents from the most vulnerable cohorts to their vaccination appointments since early February 2021.
As the vaccination programme slows nationally in April 2021, all the shuttle buses will be temporarily suspended effective from Thursday 1 April 2021, and details about their return to service will be published at the appropriate time.
The changes will affect the shuttle bus services to the following vaccination venues:
- Shrewsbury Indoor Bowls Centre, Sundorne
- Severn Fields Medical Practice, Sundorne, Shrewsbury
- Ludlow Racecourse
Any vulnerable residents unable to get to their vaccination appointments can still contact the council for help.
