Tickets have gone on sale for this year's Abergavenny Steam Rally.
For the first time, tickets will be available in advance and on-line and will include a significant saving.
The Steam Rally, in Bailey Park is on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of June, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Holiday weekend.
The new ticketing system will be launched in Abergavenny’s Red Square in the centre of town on Friday 8th April with a special fanfare from the town’s Borough Band on Saturday 9th April from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.
There will also be the local Jerusalema Dance Group led by Sandi Tatum performing in the Square. The Abergavenny Steam Rally was in danger of being wound up in the year 2000 due to a decreasing lack of organisers but was saved from extinction by the town's Rotary club which with a band of enthusiastic volunteers has run it successfully ever since.
Covid cancelled the show for the last two years and now organisers are looking forward to a grand re-opening for the Queen's Jubilee, bigger and better than ever before.
