A Service of Commemoration in thanksgiving to God for the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II will be held in Hereford this Sunday.
The service will be held on Sunday 18 September 2022 at 3.30pm in Hereford Cathedral and will be led by The Dean of Hereford.
Key representatives from across the county have been invited to attend.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the event. Space is limited, so organisers are advising people to get there early to ensure a seat. There is no parking at the Cathedral, so attendees with vehicles will need to consider using public car parks in the city.
The Service of Commemoration will also be live-streamed on the Hereford Cathedral website
As a moment of reflection, a national one minute silence will take place on Sunday 18 September at 8pm.
Flags across Herefordshire will continue to fly at half-mast as a sign of respect until after the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19 September.
