The Regal in Tenbury will hold a red-carpet screening of Downton Abbey: A New Era on its release date this Friday.
The venue will be screening the film daily for 2 weeks with a special opening night on Friday.
As part of the fun, staff and volunteers are entering into the spirit of the event by dressing up in full 1920's & 1930's regalia. Anyone coming to the opening night dressed to the nines will be greeted with a free glass of fizz. So, come on ladies, get out your flapper dresses, fringe wraps and feather headbands. Gentlemen dust off your tuxedos, fedora hats, bow ties, and spats.
"Screening the opening night of Downton is a special night for us," said Peter Drew, Trustee. "We're really excited about everyone joining in and making it a night to remember, even our local paparazzi team will be in attendance to capture the proceedings."
Westley Bone, Theatre Manager said "I cannot think of a better environment to watch this film. With the beautiful Grade 2 Art Deco Listed building enhancing the experience and an army of great volunteers getting into the spirit of the occasion, it just seems like a natural fit to create an evening to remember."
A New Era will be setting sail and onboard will be the favourite cast members like Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery and Joanne Froggatt to name a few. The voyage will see the Crawley family head over to the French Riviera to visit the villa inherited by Maggie Smith's Dowager Countess of Grantham.
