A 17-year-old boy has been sentenced to a 12 month supervision order, and will be subject to an electronic tag for three months, after admitting to burgling an Abergavenny town centre shop.
The boy, who lives in the local area, pleaded guilty at Cwmbran Youth Court this week, following the break-in at Nicholls, in Frogmore Street, on Wednesday, 16th January 2019.
Sergeant Stephen James, of the Abergavenny Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "This conviction is the result of extensive and ongoing enquiries into recent commercial burglaries in the North Monmouthshire area. We will continue to do everything in our power to bring offenders to justice."
