Sunshine Radio has announced that it will be turning off its 855AM transmitter on January 19th following a long consultation with Ofcom.
The decision comes as part of the station’s ongoing efforts to modernize its broadcasting technology and improve the quality of its programming.
Sunshine Radio has been broadcasting on 855AM since its inception in 1992, but the station’s management team has decided that it is time to move on to newer, more advanced technologies.
The station will continue to broadcast across South Shropshire on 105.9FM (Ludlow) , 107.8FM (Clee Hill), Smart Speakers and the Sunshine Radio app.
We'll be launching Sunshine Radio on DAB Digital Radio across Ludlow, Cleobury Mortimer and Tenbury Wells area next month.
“We are excited to be moving forward with this change and we are committed to providing the best possible listening experience for our audience and this is an important step in that direction”, said Ginny Murfin CEO of Sunshine Radio.
