Sunshine Radio has been celebrating 30 years of broadcasting!
We launched on 18th October 1992 after being granted a license to broadcast legally to the South Shropshire area.
The station's success grew with the launch of its service for Herefordshire and Monmouthshire in December 2007.
Mark Edwards, Station Manager said: “In an ever-changing radio industry, Sunshine Radio has managed to put down the firmest roots imaginable to remain totally independent for an amazing 30 years now! So many other broadcasters have come and gone in that time, but the strength of the Sunshine brand shines on.”
“I know the whole team are proud of having provided local entertainment and news for 3 incredible decades – it's no mean feat! And the cornerstone of our longevity has to be that we have maintained our ethos to be local and true to that. With so much choice to listen to, Sunshine Radio will continue to champion radio the way it should be and the way you like it, into the future, hopefully for another 30 years to come!"
A special celebration party was recently held in Hereford for listeners, presenters, and advertisers to come together and celebrate the milestone.
