Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd is set to return to the UK today after 10 months on the run.
The 31-year-old is due to fly back from Georgia, escorted by Metropolitan Police officers, ahead of an appearance at the Old Bailey in central London.
The Abergavenny web designer was found guilty of the manslaughter of 24-year-old Charlotte Brown in his absence last year and sentenced to six years in prison.
He did not attend court throughout his trial but was in regular contact with his defence team, who carried on without him.
Shepherd and Ms Brown were on a first date when they went for a late-night speedboat ride down the River Thames in London in December 2015, and had been drinking champagne.
Ms Brown was thrown to her death in the freezing water.
