Police in North Herefordshire are appealing for witnesses to a collision last month.
It happened on Saturday 25 September shortly after 12.45pm on the B4204 in Upper Sapey.
Two people in their 70s were trapped in one vehicle, a Black Renault Megane, and were rescued by fire crews. They suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment, where they are in a serious but stable condition.
Three of the four people in the second vehicle, a silver Ford Kuga, also suffered serious injuries and remain in hospital.
