Plans have been put forward to build five new homes in a garden off a Hereford street.
Jane Davies is seeking planning permission to develop land behind her house in Highmore Street, Bobblestock to the northwest of the city.
There would be four three-bedroom semi-detached homes and one three-bedroom dormer bungalow, all accessed via an existing entrance onto the street, which would be widened.
There would be 14 car parking spaces with the development, and ten cycle spaces.
Mature trees around the site would be retained as screening, as would three garages.
The houses’ design would be “traditional, with some design leads taken from the street”, and would be at a low enough density to “retain the open feel of the area”, the application says.
The spot is within walking distance of shops, a post office, restaurant, play and sports facilities and a bus stop, and is not in an area prone to flooding, it adds.
Comments on the application, numbered 233304, can be made until December 6.
