There are plans for a dog grooming parlour to open in Leominster.

Kirsty Karpat has submitted plans to Herefordshire Council for permission to change the use of 28 West Street from retail to assembly and leisure.

Ms Karpat said in her application she has decided for a more permanent base for her grooming.

“I chose West Street because it gives my customers ease of access for their dogs.

“There is a car park behind the shop and there is one located on the co-op, making access very easy for dropping and collecting.

“As most grooms can take an hour and a half this also gives my customers chance to use the town for additional shopping needs whilst leaving their dog with me.

“Due to being a sole groomer I will only be working with appointments only, with bookings over the phone or in person.

“I do not take any dogs into the premises without appointments, one because I am a lone groomer and secondly because of Covid-19.”

Planners are expected to consider the scheme by October 12.
