A car wash company has submitted plans to set up shop in a Hereford supermarket car park.
Waves Valeting Services Ltd could begin operating at the Asda off Belmont Road, if Herefordshire Council approves the proposals.
Applicant Amrina Piroos wants permission to take up nine parking spaces with a hand car wash and valeting operation.
The plans also include installation of a cabin and erection of a canopy and various signage for the car wash.
Consultants working on the scheme say its design is functional and they do not believe it will be visually obtrusive due to its very limited size and height.
They also say the proposed location has been selected after consideration was given to the provision of services (water, power and drainage) and a position that would minimise any impact on the customers wishing to visit the store.
Residents have until March 14 to comment on the plans which planners should consider by March 29.
