Herefordshire Council has submitted plans to cover cladding at Edgar Street with a banner advertising the stadium’s future refurbishment.
The 183.7ft by 5.9ft mesh PVC banner will cover the back of the Blackfriars End, if approved.
Council chiefs included the redevelopment of the Edgar Street stadium in their regeneration programme last year and have given the go-ahead to spend up to £120,000 to develop a business case and identify the costs of replacement stands at the Blackfriars and West stand.
Residents have until January 24 to comment on the banner proposals which council planners expect to determine by February 11.
