A former newsagents is the latest Hereford property to be put forward as a takeaway.
Samman Rassul has applied for planning permission to convert the former Commercial Road News at 20 Commercial Road into a hot food takeaway with seating area for 20 customers.
A second door on the street front, leading to the upper floor, would be replaced with glazing under the plan.
The area already has a number of food and drink outlets, including its immediate neighbours, “demonstrating that this part of Commercial Road make a significant contribution to the night-time economy serving visitors and residents in Hereford city centre”, the application says.
It proposes odour and noise control measures as part of the change.
Two full-time and four part-time positions would be created if the plan is approved.
Comments on the application, numbered 231954, can be made until August 3.
