Pizza Hut Hereford to close permanently

Pizza Hut's revealed its Hereford restaurant will close after the firm running them fell into administration.

Pizza Hut Hereford at Hereford Retail Park has been listed among the 68 restaurants based in the UK which are now earmarked for closure.

Restaurants in Shrewsbury and Kidderminster are also set to close.

Furthermore, the popular fast food chain has unveiled the 11 delivery sites which will be shut down part of a restructuring with 1,210 workers believed to be at risk of redundancy.

DC London Pie, the parent company running Pizza Hut’s UK dine-in restaurants under a franchise deal, appointed administrators from corporate finance firm FTI earlier this week.

US hospitality giant Yum! Brands, which owns the global Pizza Hut business, revealed has now bought the UK restaurant operation in a pre-pack administration deal, saving 64 sites.

Pizza Hut Hereford Delivery on St Martin's Street remains open.
