Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision near Ross-on-Wye last night.
A red Yamaha motorbike was travelling on the A40 shortly after 8pm on Thursday. After passing the turning for Whitchurch village and approaching Symonds Yat services, it is understood to have been in collision with a pedestrian.
The motorcyclist - a man in his 20s - and the pedestrian - a man in his 30s - were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The road was initially closed while emergency services dealt with the incident but it has since reopened.
Both the motorist and the pedestrian's next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, was in the area at the time, or has dashcam footage of the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 700S of 27 September.
