Over 400 hanging baskets and planters filled with spectacular flowers will be installed in Hereford City Centre.
Mike Truelove, Chief Executive of the Hereford BID commented “Although the season has just started, many of our installations are already blooming and offer stunning displays of colour and fragrance – this will only improve as summer gets underway. Businesses and visitors have commented how beautiful the flowers are and what a difference they make to the area”.
Each year the Hereford BID install baskets and planters as part of a service to local businesses who fund the private organisation.
Mike added “making Hereford’s city centre look the very best it can, must be the expected minimum standard from now on. Given the economic headwinds our businesses are facing, it is essential that all stakeholders double down on working together to present Hereford well which includes cleaning and emptying bins in a timely manner, ensuring static flower beds are weeded and presented well and that key entries to the City, such as the Eign Gate underpass, are routinely cleaned and to a high level. Monitoring and challenging when needed is something the Hereford BID will spend more time on for our member businesses who rely on the city being attractive”.
